KPV dosage
KPV is the last three amino acids of alpha-MSH. In mice it calmed two models of colitis and reduced gut inflammation markers, and cell work shows it enters gut cells through the PepT1 transporter, which is why oral use is discussed. There are no human trials and no human dose. Community use is 200 to 500 mcg subcutaneously once or twice a day, or oral capsules in the low milligram range, for 2 to 6 weeks.

Dose ranges by source
| Range | Per | Basis | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 mcg to 500 mcg per injection | injection | commonly reported | once or twice daily; 250 mcg twice a day is the common split |

KPV dose to units chart
5 mg vial + 2 mL bacteriostatic water = 2.5 mg/mL (25 mcg per unit on a U-100 insulin syringe). 5 mg + 2 mL = 2.5 mg/mL, so 250 mcg = 0.1 mL = 10 units and 500 mcg = 20 units. A 10 mg vial + 2 mL doubles the strength: 250 mcg = 5 units.
| Dose | mL | Units (U-100) | Doses per vial |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 mcg | 0.08 | 8 | 25 |
| 250 mcg | 0.1 | 10 | 20 |
| 300 mcg | 0.12 | 12 | 16 |
| 350 mcg | 0.14 | 14 | 14 |
| 450 mcg | 0.18 | 18 | 11 |
| 500 mcg | 0.2 | 20 | 10 |

KPV dosage questions
What is the KPV peptide dosage?
There is no human-tested dose. Community use is 200 to 500 mcg subcutaneously once or twice a day for 2 to 6 weeks, with 250 mcg twice daily the most common split. Oral capsules are usually in the low milligram range.
How many units of KPV is 250 mcg?
With 5 mg in 2 mL (2.5 mg/mL), 250 mcg is 10 units. With 10 mg in 2 mL it is 5 units, so use 4 mL on a 10 mg vial if you want 10-unit draws.
Can KPV be taken orally?
Yes, it is sold as capsules and mouse work shows it is absorbed by gut cells through the PepT1 transporter. Oral doses people use are higher than injected ones because less reaches the bloodstream. No human study compares the routes.
Is KPV good for gut inflammation?
In mice with chemically induced colitis it sped recovery and reduced inflammation markers. That is the whole evidence base. People with inflammatory bowel conditions report trying it alongside, not instead of, their treatment.
