GHRP-6 dosage
GHRP-6 is the original growth hormone releasing peptide, shown in 1990 to release GH in healthy men at IV doses of 0.1 to 1 mcg/kg with no adverse effects in that study. It is also the hungriest of the family because it hits the ghrelin receptor hard. Users commonly inject 100 to 300 mcg under the skin two to three times daily, fasted, for 8 to 12 weeks, often timed before meals they want to eat big. It was never approved.
Basis: published study (Bowers et al., JCEM 1990, 18 healthy men, IV). dose-dependent GH release, about 7 to 70 mcg for a 70 kg adult
- How often
- two to three times daily
- When
- fasted: morning, post-workout and before bed; 30 minutes or more before a meal if the goal is appetite
- How long
- 8 to 12 weeks, then 2 to 4 weeks off
- Route
- subcutaneous, abdomen
- Storage
- lyophilized: fridge or freezer; reconstituted: fridge, commonly used within 4 weeks (commonly reported)
Dose ranges by source
| Range | Per | Basis | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0.1 mcg/kg to 1 mcg/kg | single dose | published study (Bowers et al., JCEM 1990, 18 healthy men, IV) | dose-dependent GH release, about 7 to 70 mcg for a 70 kg adult |
| 100 mcg to 300 mcg | dose, 2 to 3 times daily | commonly reported | fasted; 100 mcg is commonly called the saturation dose |
Titration schedule
Step up on this schedule; stay a step longer if side effects are rough.
| Weeks | Dose |
|---|---|
| 1 | 100 mcg at bedtime |
| 2-12 | 100 to 300 mcg, 2 to 3 times daily |
GHRP-6 dose to units chart
5 mg vial + 2.5 mL bacteriostatic water = 2 mg/mL (20 mcg per unit on a U-100 insulin syringe). 5 mg + 2.5 mL = 2 mg/mL, so 100 mcg = 0.05 mL = 5 units; 200 mcg = 10 units, 300 mcg = 15 units. A 10 mg vial with 5 mL gives the same 2 mg/mL.
| Dose | mL | Units (U-100) | Doses per vial |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 mcg | 0.0001 | 0.01 | 50000 |
| 0 mcg | 0.0001 | 0.01 | 20000 |
| 1 mcg | 0.0003 | 0.03 | 10000 |
| 1 mcg | 0.0005 | 0.05 | 5000 |

GHRP-6 dosage questions
How much GHRP-6 should I take?
The 1990 study used 0.1 to 1 mcg/kg IV, up to about 70 mcg for a 70 kg adult. Users commonly inject 100 to 300 mcg two to three times daily, fasted. On a 5 mg vial in 2.5 mL, 100 mcg is 5 units.
Does GHRP-6 increase appetite?
Strongly. It is a ghrelin mimic and most users report intense hunger 15 to 30 minutes after a shot. People bulking time it before meals; people cutting pick ipamorelin instead.
Can I take GHRP-6 with CJC-1295?
That is the standard pairing: 100 mcg of GHRP-6 with 100 mcg of CJC-1295 no DAC in one syringe, two to three times daily, fasted. The 1990 study showed GHRP and GHRH act synergistically, which is the basis for the stack. Keep both fasted.
